Partnering with You for Services for Your Loved Ones

Family Members Seeking Information

We at LIFE Pittsburgh are committed to helping our Participants remain as independent as possible. Our goal is to work closely with you, the family member/caregiver, in a supportive manner. We will supplement care and services where there is a need.

Our enrollment team will help you to navigate the often difficult process of locating the appropriate services for older adults. We will assist you with our enrollment application process in its entirety and will make it as trouble-free and straightforward for you as possible. In addition, we will be available to answer any questions that you may have along the way.

We understand that the role of caregiving can be both fulfilling and challenging. We also understand that the term caregiver burden – often described as the physical, emotional and financial toll of providing care – can sometimes occur. The LIFE Pittsburgh team will work with you to try to relieve some of the burden that you may encounter as you care for your loved one. You will get to know your loved one’s individual team members very well as they will work closely with you in a collaborative manner. LIFE Pittsburgh staff are on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week should there be an urgent or emergency medical need that occurs. LIFE Pittsburgh offers a monthly support group for all caregivers who are involved with our Participants. The group meets at 12:00PM, on the second Wednesday of every month at our Greentree location (875 Greentree Rd, One Parkway Center, Pittsburgh, PA 15220). The group is led by one of our Social Workers who is Masters level prepared. Caregivers are given the opportunity to share their experiences with others who are going through similar situations and are often able to draw on the strengths of others as a resource. As well, they have the opportunity to listen to educational speakers who address pertinent issues that the caregivers themselves have identified and expressed an interest in learning more about.

Our staff members are committed to providing quality care to your loved one. Most importantly, our staff members are committed to caring for your loved one in the manner in which they would want their own loved one cared for – with dignity and respect.
